About Us

We have been established since 31 October 2018, for the mutual benefit of our growing industry for clients and centre owners alike.

We are a voluntary-run industry body designed to promote floatation within Australia and New Zealand. We have a committee that oversees the association’s vision and direction. Float Therapy Association is a Not for Profit Industry Association registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission.

Our Mission

To empower human potential through the power of float therapy. We are dedicated to lead and inspire a new era of natural wellness, fostering a vibrant and interconnected local and global community

Our Purpose

To promote float therapy within Australia and collaborate with other float associations internationally.

We are committed to serving as a steadfast advocate and invaluable resource for our member community, driving initiatives that aspire to establish float therapy as a recognised “health service” across all Australia and New Zealand.

Partnering with esteemed organisations like NDIS, WorkSafe, Aged Care, Veteran Affairs, Motor Accident Commission, First Responders, and Private Health Insurers, our goal is to educate individuals and practitioners about the remarkable benefits of floatation as a therapeutic practice for both mental and physical well-being. We passionately strive to promote optimal mental health and wellness among diverse population groups, enriching the places where people live, learn, work, and play.

Moreover, we seek to forge research collaborations with academics, governments, non-governmental entities, corporations, service providers, and the community at large, thus contributing to the ever-growing global research library. By sponsoring esteemed academics and researchers to share cutting-edge research with health professionals, we aim to inspire local research endeavors and trials within Australia.

Ultimately, our vision is to firmly establish float therapy as a mainstream therapeutic and recovery option for the broader community, encompassing sectors such as health, allied health, disability, aged care, veterans’ support, and sports.
